Regular maintenance can greatly extend the service life of hydraulic cylinders, reduce failure rate and save maintenance cost. Here are key daily maintenance rules:
1.Keep hydraulic oil clean
Replace hydraulic oil and filter elements regularly. Prevent water, dust and metal debris from entering the system to avoid scratch damage to cylinder barrel and piston rod.
2.Control working oil temperature
Keep oil temperature between 30℃~60℃. Clean air cooler regularly if overheating occurs, to prevent seal aging and oil deterioration.
3.Inspect sealing parts frequently
Check oil leakage on piston rod regularly. Replace worn or cracked oil seals in time to eliminate internal and external leakage.
4.Protect chrome-plated piston rod
Avoid collision, scratch and rust on rod surface. Clean dirt and mud timely, keep rod surface smooth.
5.No over-pressure and over-load operation
Work within rated pressure and load range. Do not hold pressure for a long time to prevent cylinder deformation and damage.
6.Use reasonable working stroke
Do not keep piston staying at two extreme positions for long time, reserve safe stroke to reduce impact damage.
7.Tighten all mounting fasteners
Check pins, clevis brackets and fixing bolts regularly, prevent loose installation causing unstable operation.
8.Avoid eccentric lateral force
Ensure linear stable movement of hydraulic cylinder. Lateral force will easily bend piston rod and damage guide sleeve.
9.Maintenance for long-term shutdown
Retract cylinder to the shortest stroke, release system residual pressure, cover cylinder well for dustproof and rustproof.
10.Stop operation in abnormal condition
Once jitter, abnormal noise or weak action appears, stop working immediately to exhaust air and check pipeline faults.
